The Searles School & Chapel Trustees have recently received a grant of $8, 500 from The Methuen Festival of Trees for the purpose of restoration of the two granite entry posts/pillars and the lower granite walls located on the east side of the building, all of which are original to the building, circa 1900. Whereas, the Festival of Trees is predicated on funds matched, the Friends of Searles School & Chapel are pleased to donate $800.00 toward the match. As the Friends on going mission is to ensure the preservation and restoration of the Searles School & Chapel it is with great enthusiasm that we support this project.
