About Friends of Searles School and Chapel
The Friends of Searles School & Chapel (FOS) was established by residents of Windham, NH who seek to preserve and maintain the history encapsulated by Searles School & Chapel. This structure is over 100 years old and requires regular maintenance, often by specialized craftsmen. While much of the maintenance of the building is supported by the Town of Windham, preservation and restoration work often relies on special town Warrant Articles, approved by the voters, and charitable donations. Friends of Searles was formed as an organization to focus solely on publicizing the needs of Searles School & Chapel and raising funds for its preservation.
